We were called to do a roof replacement in Orlando, Florida. The roof was in fairly good condition for it being a 13-year-old roof. Obviously, there were signs of wear and tear that have accumulated over the years. Our project manager noticed multiple dents in the shingles from large hail pellets. Additionally, there were signs of shingle deterioration and wind damage as some shingles are curling upwards. 

Getting Started on the Roof Replacement

After presenting the homeowners with all their options for materials, style, and warranties. We got the green light to start replacing the old asphalt shingles on this Orlando home. The homeowner decided to go with brand new GAF 3-tab weathered wood shingles. The homeowners also got the GAF Golden Pledge warranty to ensure their investment is protected for years to come. 

On the morning of the roof replacement, we brought a dumpster to ensure we keep the work area clear. After tearing off the old shingles and examining the underlying wood to see if there were any sheets of plywood that would need to be replaced, we determined that the plywood was in good condition. From this point, our Superior One Roofing team made quick work of laying down leak protection underlayment in leak-prone areas.

After perfectly placing each of the GAF weathered wood shingles with high attention to detail, we began to wrap up. The whole job took only a couple of days of work, our team had finished the roof replacement in Orlando. The last step is making sure there is no debris that could’ve come off the roof during the process lying around the property.

All that’s left is to schedule the final inspection on the roof to make sure that everything is up to code and to take a few more beautiful drone shots. We are happy to have helped give this Orlando home a facelift and make their roof a Superior One.
